My path to becoming a criminal defence lawyer wasn’t a traditional one. When I was young, I had a brush-in with the criminal justice system that left a lasting impact on my life. Witnessing the power imbalance between the accused and the state ignited a passion to become a force for justice and to advocate fiercely for those charged with criminal offences.
Before graduating with distinction from the Ludlow Hall School of Law at University of New Brunswick, I completed my Bachelors in Commerce at the University of Toronto.
My education and subsequent years of experience defending clients facing charges ranging from mischief to murder have honed my skills and expertise. In my career, I have successfully represented hundreds of clients in the Ontario Court of Justice and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. I passionately believe that the burden of proof should be squarely on the Crown, and that everyone deserves the right to an unequivocally strong defence.
